Tea Time in the Garden

Updated: Apr 14, 2024

I started growing tea on accident. It all began with the mysterious plant that was in my yard before me that smelled intoxicatingly like Lemon when you picked it (or tore it out because it tends to creep). This lovely plant is lemon balm. It prompted my journey researching making homemade teas and other concoctions with the flowers and plants that grew in my garden. More on the fun floral jellies later!

Here are my favorite tea plants that I include in my winter-long immune and stress busting tea blend with tips on growing and harvesting. Happy sipping!

Echinacea (otherwise known as Purple Coneflower)

Lemon Balm

Chamomile

Spearmint
